Task 2 - Extracting specific information

Let's continue learning about metacognitive strategies doing different activities. In the first task we predicted ideas of a video using a title, now let's do it by using images. How good are you doing so?. Time to practice!

Let's continue with our listening practice

Objectives:

1. Activate existing knowledge or information (Plan) you have to predict or anticipate ideas on the content of a video. You will use some images to have some ideas.

2. Confirm the predictions you did in the previous exercise and make connections with people, places, situations, and ideas.

3. Analyze and write down specific information to collaboratively create  a mind map.

Description of the activities:

Activity 1: You will use your previous knowledge to relate some images and come up with ideas about a video.

Expected time 10 minutes.

Activity 2: You will use your predictions to compare them with the information you hear in a video.

Expected time 20 minutes.

Activity 3: You will be able to summarize the information of a video in a mind map using Popplet.

Expected time 30 minutes.

Ready to start. Let’s go to the first listening strategy: "Planning".
